Fred Burrows Sr. started with just 2 tandem dump trucks and one sand mine in 1969, and since then has played an integral role in the growth of the area by supplying and delivering sand and gravel to numerous infrastructure projects around the Mohawk Valley region.

Upon receiving his degree in Civil Engineering in 1992, Fred Burrows Jr. joined the company and added professional excavation services and site development to the family business. Also at this time the name was changed to Fred Burrows Trucking and Excavating.

Fred Jr. soon earned a reputation among colleagues, customers and co-workers for his honesty, fairness and attention to detail. Through his hard work and dedication, he was made a partner in 1996.

The addition of the excavation services to the already distinguished trucking and material services has made Fred Burrows Trucking and Excavating a well respected presence in the construction industry.

Today, the company has grown to 5 mines, 38 tri-axle dump trucks, 62 various trailers, 17 tractors, as well as dozens of excavating equipment (dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, etc.) Fred Burrows Trucking and Excavating currently employs 54 loyal staff that provide superior service to our customers.

Our trucks are radio dispatched and contain GPS monitors which enables us to provide dependable and timely trucking services for the construction industry.

We are the Mohawk Valley’s leading sitework contractor, specializing in grading, site clearing, water and sewer utility installation, and driveway and road installation.
